The early bird may get the worm but not enough sleep! Research among elite athletes, railway workers, and aviation workers is suggesting that for every hour you start work before 9am that you lose 30 minutes of sleep. In other words, if you start at 8am, then you lose 30 minutes. If you start at 7am, then you lose 60 minutes or an hour.

Not only is the number of hours worked a day important for sleep health but so too is the time at which work begins.

Sleep Tip #260: Start working at 9am or later.
