Insomnia is not simply insomnia. There are four types of insomnia:
- Primary: Caused by an inability to sleep and sleep well for no other cause.
- Secondary: Caused by another factor such as back pain.
- Acute: Experiencing insomnia for a short period of time (less than 30 days)
- Chronic: Experiencing insomnia for a longer period of time (greater than 30 days).
