Is your self-talk disrupting your sleep? Catch a thought first.

We all talk to ourselves. I don’t mean crazy talk. We engage in a conversation in our head about what we plan to do, what we’ve done, and what we might do. During times of stress, I may catch myself saying, “You won’t be able to fall asleep tonight because too much is going on.” This self talk is powerful. If I say this to myself over and over again and don’t catch it, then it is likely that I won;t fall asleep.

Sleep Tip #25: Catch your dysfunctional sleep thoughts by being more aware of your negative sleep talk.
