Gamblers praise a “Lucky 7.” This is also the magic number for sleep. If you sleep less than 7 hours each night, then you are at higher risk of the following:
- Obesity
- High blood pressure
- Diabetes
- Heart disease
- Frequent mental distress
- Death
These risk factors are detailed in a CDC report about sleep.
